It's not all the time, just every now and then I have an itch down there.

Could be thrush - which is very common! But it's important to get thrush treated. :)
It's important that you don't wear jeans that are tight too often and wear cotton underwear instead of other types of underwear. :)
See your doc if you are concerned, but thrush is quite easily treated and can be treated over the counter.
