Why do doctors (pediatricians) make a big deal about weight?!

Question:

Why do doctors (pediatricians) make a big deal about weight?

It makes me mad! I'm 5'6 ranging from 96-100 pounds (depends on the day). I am fifteen. And everytime I go get a physical the doctor questions me about why im this thin. I don't see myself as being thin..I see myself as being me. This thinness runs in the family and i am active year round.
Oh another questtion. Since my weight varies from time to time under 100 at times would it make sense to have my period be irregular. I've had it for a year and a month.
Thanks so much for the help!

If you are happy being skinny, good for you! None of the girls in my family weighed over 105 until out of our teens, and none of us ever missed a period [ until we had babies ]. We could clean out a buffet in no time.
Do situps, pushups, and pullups to stay toned.
Take vitamins, eat well, and avoid junk food - you'll be fine.
