I would go with seasonal. I'm on the pill now and I have the low estergal or something like that but I want to switch to only get my period 4 times a month. My cramps are still so bad even tho it's better then it was before.
Also just FYI for everyone who's saying just don't have sex, The pill also helps with cramps and if you have a heavy flow. I don't know what you are using it for but it has a lot of other benefits to it. You will also be able to know exactly when you start, down to the hour.
EDIT: Talk to your gyno. She will know best. she will know what you want it for and knows your history so she will be able to prescribe what is best for you. Everyone is different
ONE more thing: it depends on you. I like the pill. to me a shot or patch would just be inconvenient
