Hahah...no, it's not true. If that were the case coffee would be flying of the shelves!
There is a shot your Doctor can give you to delay your period, I inquired about this as I knew I would be getting mine right around my wedding day/honeymoon. Turned out that due to stress, it was late anyway, so I didn't get the shot :)
But coffee or other foods/beverages? No.
