Can ovarian cysts affect your menstrual cycle? I think mine is a week early, and not as heavy as usual.

Do you think a doctor would be happy with a patient asking him for an ultrasound or scan etc?
Answers:
Ovarian cysts are usually caused by the egg not releasing from the ovary properly or not at all. This will leave a blister that fills and will cause pain and interruption of your cycle if it gets to big. If your having any pain or feeling unwell it would be best to see your doctor and ask for an ultrasound.
