Question:

Whats a lubricant??? is that for girls or for boys?? both??

i saw something beside the condoms in the store, its said lubricant and it had different flavors too.... what the hell is that???

Answers:

Lubricant is basically just slippery stuff to reduce friction- i.e. when having sex. It makes it more pleasurable for both men and women and reduces the risk that the condom will break from being rubbed too hard. Some condoms are pre-lubricated, and others need to have lubricant added. Always use lubricant and a condom when having genital sex, OK? It greatly reduces the risks of STIs and pregnancy. And use only water-based lubricant. Oil based lubricants (like lotions or vaseline) can destroy condoms.

Flavored condoms are for oral sex- people who are trying to stay safe from STIs but don't like the taste of latex sometimes like flavored condoms better. Don't use these for genital sex, though, as they sometimes give women yeast infections.

Hope that helps! If your school doesn't have a sex education component to your health class, ask why not!
