I'm having a cytoscopy & was wondering if I should take the day off from work after the procedure?

YES!!!! OMG, I had a cystoscopy almost 2 weeks ago and they lasered out my stone and put a ureteral stent in from my kidney to my bladder, and BOY does it hurt! EVERYBODY told me it didn't hurt that bad and the doc even okayed me to go back to work in 2 days but I am STILL in alot of pain. I take a percocet every 2 hours and I still hurt. It also hurts really bad after you pee and you pee blood. If you are having a stent put in I would reccommend asking your job for some time off until you feel comfortable going back to work, I guess it is different for everybody. GOOD LUCK!
