Question about skipping periods and the pill?

I have been on the pill for about 4 or 5 months. Before I started taking it I never had a problem with skipping periods. however starting last month I bled for one day(it was more then spotting) then I stopped I took to HPT a week apart and they both came up negative. Now this month I am doing the same thing. Should I go see my doctor? has anyone else had this problem? Is this normal?

Answers:

The pill can definitely cause your periods to be shorter, lighter, spotty or virtually non-existent. That is just one of the side effects of oral contraceptives.
