Why do MEN become Gynecologists?!

Why do MEN become Gynecologists?

It's just SICK to me. It freaks me out to think about WHY the heck they would want to become one in the first place. I can't think of one logical reason why they would pick that job out of the millions of others out there. I'm 23 years old and yeah.. I've never been to a gyno... I'm seriously scared out of my mind at the thought of ANYONE touching me down there, and they say MEN are the best gynos and that REALLY gets me to thinking... WHY!?!

I'm looking for answers to HELP me, not destroy my perception of MEN. I just need help to reassure me so that I'll actually want to go, not to make me feel bad about my ways of thinking. I AM paranoid and THAT'S why I'm looking for help, so HONESTLY, PLEASE be nice to me, I'm not asking for hatred!

Honestly, when a person goes to medical school to become a doctor, they don't know what field they will end up specializing in. They all go through basic courses of study and at the end they apply for internships in certain fields and they may aplly to 6 or 7 different ones and only get accepted in to 1 or 2. So for the most part they "fall" into gynecology. It's nearly impossible for a person to set out from the start wanting to be a gynecologist and achieve it. If you ask you'd find well over 90% of ob/gyn's didn't know they were going into that field when they entered medical school.

also, I don't know why and as weird as it sounds I actually prefer to have a male ob/gyn. I have only ever had one female ob/gyn in my 19+ years of going, and she was far from my favorite.
