Question:

Pain After Tampon Removal...Normal??

I just put in a cardboard tampon for the first time. When i took it out, there was some blood on it. Now my stomach hurts. Is this normal?? PLEASE tell me if it isnt!!!

Answers:

I think you mean the cardboard had blood on it.Yes, that would be normal. The vagina will have blood on the walls of it and when you insert the tampon, the cardboard will get some on it. As far as your stomach hurting, do you mean that there is an uncomfortable feeling in your vagina? It could be that you have placed the tampon at a slightly uncomfortable position. For first time users, the best way to position it is by standing with one foot on the toilet lid, and putting it in at an angle that aims for the small of the back. Go ahead and remove the other tampon, and do it again, with a fresh one.I think you'll find it much easier and in a more comfortable position. You can email me direct if you need more info.
