towards the end of my period i start to smell this odor from down there. Am I the only one? And what can i do to get rid of it. Please no jokes!
Answers:
It is not uncommon as the menstrual fluid changes the acidity in your vagina so that some more bacteria can grow. As long as the odor reverts to normal after your period flow is through you should not worry. If it continues see you doctor or NP to get medication if they see an infection. (the infection is called BV- bacterial vaginosis and it is just an overgrowth of the normal bacteria in the vagina). Please do not douche as it is of no help whatsoever and will make the odor worse.
