I went to a natropath when I suffered severe period pain as a teenager and one thing I could do to restore balance was eat less McDonalds and refined food. I was eating 1-2 McChicken meals a week and I was told to eat less so it was more like 1-2 per month and the pain lessened greatly.

Easiest way to start is to try to put less "Ready prepared" items in your shopping, and maybe even spend some time on a weekend making meals for the week if you'd like to try that.

Hopefully you'll get lots more good answers but if not pls vote me as a good answer. Good luck XOXO

vitex /chasteberry can help

Yes, eat les red meat and refined foods, avoid dairy products that are not certified organic and hormone free, reduce caffeine and salt intake, make sure you are getting enough B vitamins.

Some herbs may include: Black Cohosh, Blue Cohosh, wild yam, red clover, raspberry leaf, dong quai, licorice, stinging nettles...It depends on the nature of the imbalance which herbs would be most helpful.

Until you speak with a practioner who can personally know your case, I would only try taking an infusion of stinging nettles, if you steep an ounce of the dried herb in a quart hot water for at least 4 hours and drink a quart of that each day for a month as well as taking the red clover herb in capsule form, perhaps 2 caps 3x per day for a month and see how you feel. Both of those herbs have a tonic effect and are good overall. While they may not address your specific concerns they are unlikely to have harmful effects and are pretty supportive and nourishing to the female system over all.

Get enough rest, exercise moderately, speak your truth and live your truth. When we deny our true feelings snd desires throughout the month our periods can become unbearable times when we feel all of the pain and dissatisfaction that we have ignored during the previous month.

Take care of yourself. I hope you feel better.
