Coconut oil side effects? please help!!!!!!!!?!

Question: ok this ones got me baffled. ive been taking coconut oil on and off for a few weeks for a gastrointestinal candida overgrowth at around 2tbsp a day, i had a mild die off, nothing that was too noticeble during first 2 week stage, and also took a high quality probiotic. ive stopped taking it since then and have recovered from die off... today i decided to take about 1TSP along with a good dosage of probiotics... and from about half an hour since i took the two up until im writing this question now, i have had a splitting headache and VERY mild sinus symptoms, (sneezing, runny nose, blockage, etc)... i dont understand why this time i took LESS i am feeling awful, but i do feel a slight increase in energy and well being at the same time as the symptoms i have at the moment... any advice or information?

I agree with DEVASTAT to use virgin coconut oil as lauric
acid and other nutrients are not reduced when oil is cold
pressed. Further you cannot take anything as you like i.e.
on and off for a few weeks. It should always be continous
for body's intelligence to accept the new addition of
probiotic and coconut oil. Stick to the program for 3 months
and you will see definite improvement inspite of any
short comings your body may throw up. Good luck and
God bless. Cheers! :o)

I don't think coconut oil has side effect.
Try to drink it without probiotic.
And get virgin coconut oil, not just "coconut oil" because virgin coconut oil has more lauric acid.

Coconut oil will not have any effect on candida. However, since you probably do not have a gastrointestinal candida overgrowth to begin with, that won't matter. It does add extra calories, and over the long term will cause you to gain weight.
