Question: Don't have a carbon based water filter attached to their kitchen tap do me a favor?? Remove the screw end at the end of the faucet (tap) where you get your drinking water from and run your finger around the inside of it and tell me what your first impression is?? If you don't have a filter cleansing your drinking water this black sludge on the inside rim of the lip of the faucet is the sediment of the chlorine, fluoride, lead and other toxic sludge that coarses through our water supplies ~ did you know that that was what you were drinking?? What's your first impression??........ :0)

WOW!! Minx!! I'm with you on this one AGAIN!!
Here silly me thought that Mattel products containing lead where toxic all to come back and enjoy a good ol' glass of tap water dripping down my face (kind of how you eat mango's ;) .
This is just the perfect example of parents thinking that the gov. actually is protecting us from harm. It all just goes to show you that the sheeple will think anything the mainstream media and Doctors tells them to think (and they'll ignore everything else).

I might ad that a shower filter is just as important since our skin absorbs all those chemicals as well.
I dont have that problem, we have well water :)

Dont know what to advice haven't had that problem.
If you're going to use a filter, don't use a faucet filter. Get a pitcher system. You can change the filters and maintain the system more easily.
What I do, to avoid municipal water (fluoride), is buy bottled "spring" water and filter that through my pitcher system as an extra precaution.
When we buy property one of the major requirements is a spring fed water system. We currently have four pristine springs on the property. Our former home had a great spring, but also had potato fields surrounding, so nitrates were an issue.
No matter what the source of our water, we still prefer to filter even ground water to make sure that no nasties which may have unknowingly contaminated our spring contaminate our body.
BTW - this one goes on the market soon!! Hope there are others looking for fresh spring water out there.
It's obviously doing it's job. Although the sludge coul dindicate needing to have it changed out. But, always bear in mind that the things that it's filtering are going to be far worse than the occasional drip of sludge.
