Has anyone had good results with burdock root?!

Question: If taken internally, what can it help? has it helped you?

Answers: If taken internally, what can it help? has it helped you?

What the other people said is exactly right. It works by supporting you liver, the detox organ of the body. Burdock can help the liver function more effectively and clear out more toxins in the body. Other good detoxifiers are yellow dock, dandelion, and oregon grape root.

Toxins can show up in lots of different symptoms, including skin problems and arthritis, and other chronic stuff.

Sugars, fats, alcohol and caffine can slow down the liver and increse a buildup of toxins.

I've never taken Burdock root. It can be taken internally to help skin diseases, inflammation, rashes, colds and fever, cancer, gout, and arthritis. Burdock should be used cautiously in people with diabetes or cardiac disorders.

burdock is like a detoxer. I have seen it work well because it made me go to the toilet and well it wasn't a pretty sight, sound or smell. So it did something to clean me out.

I have not used it. However, you can read reviews of people who have used different brands of burdock root at http://www.nutritionaltree.com. Just search for that term when you get there. NutritionalTree does not sell products but does collect consumer reviews on different brands.

Hi Shaolin -

I use burdock tincture regularly to help with digestion and water retention. I find it's very helpful in the morning after a night of overindulgence, or to help me digest a heavy meal before I go to bed. It's mild but effective (in my opinion), and the bittersweet taste of the tincture seems to help settle an upset stomach too.

I've cooked with the vegetable, as well, if I feel like I need some strong contractive energy in my diet to balance an overly expansive condition. It's slightly bitter but not unpleasant.

Good luck to you!
