Do i still need to grind flaxseeds if i add them to oatmeal, hot cereals?!
Question: Assuming you are after the Omega 3 fatty acids, yes grind them or press them. Or buy the refrigerated oil by Barleans. Or buy the flax seed meal. Most stores either refrigerate it or freeze it for optimum freshness.
If you only want the insoluble fiber benefits, eating whole seeds is just about as effective, hot or cold.

Yes, but you can buy them already ground. I get the "milled flax seed" at the local WM, but I'm sure any decent health food store would carry them.
Great stuff!
Yes you do. Just use a coffee grinder.
Yes because if you don't chew them really well or grind them you will not be getting the beneficial omega-3s. I use a cheap coffee grinder I got from a thrift store. It is allot cheaper to buy whole flax seed than ground and they stay fresher and more potent longer. You can also use flax to replace eggs in baking. To avoid the tremendous amount of unnecessary cholesterol. Here is a recipe for egg replacer http://www.vegan-food.net/recipe/1176/Fl...
