Nerve damage and cellulitis.?!

Question: I developed nerve damage in my neck after facial surgery six years ago. This has improved slightly however I am still suffering. In addition to this, from the outset I had an infection behind my ear which eventually caused cellulitis. I have had several attacks of this. It appears of my neck and face and this together with nerve damage is giving me hell. Any advise as to how I can get relief from either of these problems would be appreciated.

My dad had a serious cellulitis attack in his face last year, and antibiotics didn't help at all. The doctors were worried that he would lose one of his eyes to the infection, and they put him on a strong anti-fungal pill. Within a week, the swelling was almost completly gone. He was back at home and seeing perfectly within two weeks. Now I don't know if this would help you with your problem, but maybe it is worth mentioning to your doctor that you might like to try some anti-fungal medication.

As for natural anti-fungal medications, garlic is the best you can get, either eating lots of it or just buying tablets at a health food store. My dad now eats raw garlic every day and he hasn't had another outbreak of cellulitis!

Good luck to you!

I don't know much about this but I hope this helps ..

Most people with cellulitis can be treated with oral antibiotics at home. However if there are signs of systemic illness or extensive cellulitis, treatment may require hospital admission for initial intravenous antibiotics. Treatment for uncomplicated cellulitis is usually for 10 to 14 days but antibiotics should be continued until all signs of infection have cleared (redness, pain and swelling). The oral antibiotics used most commonly are penicillin, flucloxacillin, cefuroxime, or erythromycin.

Good luck m8.

Hi, you're asking in alt med which isn't really the place to get sensible medical advice for real conditions.

Dorothy: that's because homeopathy is a placebo and can't help with physical conditions.
