Liver Cleanse?!
Question: Can anyone recommend a good liver cleanse? I'm not looking for anything too extreme. However, if it is necessary then I will consider it. I keep reading that a poor working liver causes acne (which I am suffering from) so I'm hoping to find a cleanse. Any help would be great. Thank you

I have done it. It is not extreme and very healthy.
Yes, your acne should clear up. My unexplained rash did.
Don't buy advertised cleanse tonics over the net, as they can be dangerous.

The body is designed to cleanse and heal itself. If you go on a liver cleanse, which you can purchase any good one at a reputable health food store, you will also have to change your diet while on the liver cleanse. Otherwise, you are wasting your money on the special blend of herbs that are combined together to enhance the liver's function. If you want to do this the cheap way, then cut out all dairy products. All of them. And meat also. Because that is what the liver cleanse diet will have you do. Within 3-5 days, you will see a drastic improvement. You can also try accupuncture or accupressure or reflexology to strengthen the liver meridian.
Edit: There are numerous conditions all having to do with the liver being unable to cleanse the body's vital fluids called blood. Fatty liver is one. Hepatitis is another. Cirrhosis of the liver is a third. I could go on. Seems SkepDoc isn't really a doc after all, huh?

There are no "toxins" building up in your body.
You "keep reading" this acne-liver connection because you are reading AltMed websites and not getting other more trustworthy sources of information. (Similar to the way Christians only reference book is the Bible)
It is just a silly so called "alternative" medicine (SCAM) idea that has no basis in anatomy, biochemistry or physiology. It is simply a way to cleanse your wallet of money, nothing more.

Your liver does not need "cleansing".
Do NOT listen to the stupid sites selling you something to "cleanse" your liver - they have no way to prove that whatever they sell you has actually done anything at all, and they have no data that anyone's liver is any "cleaner" or that any "toxins" have been removed. It's all a scam to suck money from the gullible.
