In the treatment of hereditory type high cholestrol what is available instead of statinsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the asker specifically asks for hereditary type2 while diet is a good alternative if you have hypercholestrolemia which is acquired simply due to lifestyle but you rightly have been in search of alternate treatment as of now modern medicine has not come up with one except for statins
while diet will obviously reduce progression but statins depending on personal preference of your physician are the only treatment
I tend to drift towards atorvastatin as I have found my patients to respond well to that
all the other answers are obviously worth a shot but i would doubt their effectivenessWww@Answer-Health@Com

A few weeks ago I had a blood test and my cholesterol was 6!.7!. Ten days later I had another blood test and it was 5!.3!. the doctor was surprised and so was I!.

The only explanation that I can give for the high reading, was a change of routine!. I normally have a fairly brisk two hour walk every day!. Before the high results there was a period of time I had not done this!. I had also eaten more eggs than usual and I was stressed!.

After the first blood test, the problem that had resulted in my being stressed was resolved and I started my long walks again!. I also stopped eating eggs!. Although I was given a prescription for statins I never took them!. My conclusion is that that eggs play a large part in high cholesterol and that reduced stress and increased exercise reduces cholesterol!.
Apparently diabetes can cause high cholesterol, consequently it is advisable to have tests for this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes if you eat a proper diet you can lower cholestrol, there is a certain amount of people that do have to take them!. My husband had to resort to them in the end!.
Oat bran or porrige as we know it is exellent for helping lower
cholestrol!. There is an alternative, but you need to go to the docs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do not or hurshly decrease to consume foods that contain cholesterol!.These are as follows(main "containers"):animal liver;animal butter;eggs!.If You do this, with time passing(it,though, does take time),Your body will do much of the rest,it has ways of its own!.Plus!.Try fasting!.On vegetarin food(during the fast),on dairy,on fruit juices,or else so,may be no food at all!.But wach your state not o overdose the fast itself!.Pills are of no much good!.This should help!.Or check some sayings of the late Los Anhelos fame Paul Bregg, who propagated this stuff himself!.Worked with me all to well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my cousin did very well on a simple oat bran diet, oat bran (not oat meal) will lower your cholesterol naturally, in my family it's a hereditary cholesterol as well!. You also need to stop sugar intake (non medically speaking it turns to fat in your blood) and stop alcohol!. People are quick to turn to allopathic medicine but there are so many natural remedies that you can do!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are a number of types of hereditary hyper-cholesterolaemias, most result in cholesterol levels that can only be controlled on statins, a tiny number benefit from fibrates!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
