Yes, they work!.!.!. but if she's really constipated, she may not want to take any laxative if it's bad enough!. Most all laxatives have a warning not to take them if there is any abdominal pain!.!.!. if it's that bad, she may need to see her doctor for either a colonic irrigation to spray the stuff out, get a suppository, or worse!.
If she doesn't have abdominal pain, then drinking more water and adding more fiber to her daily diet will do the best to have a better regularity!. Those cleansers will help as a 1-time shot!.!.!. but if your friend doesn't change her diet, the cleanse will be very uncomfortable for a few days, then she'll go back to where she is after a few months anyway!.
