Answers:
I very much doubt that a single incident of "social smoking" caused the problem you describe!. It sounds more like you have an allergy or a viral infection!.

There is no quick fix!. If your vocal cords are inflamed, the only thing you can do is rest them totally!. That means no talking, no singing, and not even whispering!.

And no!.!.!.smoking again would be even stupider than smoking the first time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you might have some sort of infection or something, and the smoking just made the problem worse!.

Do NOT smoke again, that would just be stupid!.

There is nothing you can do by tonight to make your voice better!. I suggest you rest it as much as possible, maybe gargle with some salt water!. But again, nothing you can do will make it better by tonight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I doubt very much your smoking incident caused your problem!.!.!.!.Use a good throat spray!.!.!.but your vocal cords are swollen!.!.!.Ice pack around neck will help but do not leave on over 10 minWww@Answer-Health@Com

Get yourself to an acupuncturist who can bleed two points, one on your index finger and one on your thumb, with a lancet!. The sore throat you are experiencing is due to an accumulation of heat!. Whether or not this is due to the smoking is moot!. Heat creates movement, so, by piercing the end of the associated channel and removing some blood the heat is purged along with it!. The effect is very rapid, and while it may not completely rid you of the sore throat, it will certainly afford you significant relief!. I treated a sore throat this way successfully this morning!. Those who say there is nothing that you can do just do know what one can do!. Good luck!. Don't smoke as that will just add more heat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
