Librium is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines!. Other drugs in this class are: Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan!. Depending on what srug it is they ones in this class are used for several reasons but mostly: anxiety (or nerves), as sleeping pills, for seizure control or for alcohol detox!.
