okay so im doing this research project about colonial medicine for my history class, i have done mmy research and i have found about heroic medicine, but what abou the common follk at did they do the didnt have money for doctors, whaat kind of herbal remedies would they use!.!.!.!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That list could get pretty long!. There are dung poultices, cherry bark tonics, mustard plasters, castor oil um!.!.!. uses, peppermint essence, dogwood(seriously), rue, colored threads, columbo, sphagnum moss poultices, bread poultices, balsam poplar bark, willow bark, bleeding!.!.!. and then some!.
Some colonists made 'barley coffee' as a substitute for actual coffee and when the tea thing went south!.!.!. the substitutes for that were numerous!. So aside from whatever folk remedy knowledge/information they would have brought from wherever they were from (Europe, Asia, Africa!.!.!. etc), they would have picked up some new ones from the native population and local flora and fauna as well!. Since many of the poor colonists didn't exactly write, some of that info may be rather hard to find!. You might try searching native american folk medicine or using some tribe names to get some more info on what you're looking for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They used black strap molasses and im not even sure if they knew all the good effects it had on them cause of all the minerals in it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Perhaps they knew about willow bark to relieve pain!. They could have used it in tea form!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
