What are some natural remedies for anxiety that don't make one drowsy?!

Question: What are some natural remedies for anxiety that don't make one drowsy?
I'd prefer herb supplements or flower remedies (ala Bach) if anyone knows of any that are effective.

Exercise is the best natural remedy for anxiety.

Bach flower or rescue remedy is just brandy.

Hi,

Here are a few options

Rhodiola rosea or also known as golden root and roseroot. Pilot studies showed that this herb may be effective in reducing anxiety and depression, improving mood and overcoming fatigue. Rhodiola extract which is obtained from the dried roots is available in the form of capsules, tablets and liquid extract.

Lemon balm has sedative properties which can help calm a person's nerves and relieve stress. You can drink a cup of lemon balm tea, take it as a daily supplement, diffuse lemon balm essential oil or add a few drops to a warm bath to give you the calming effect.

A controlled research reported that a chamomile extract therapy done on patients with generalized anxiety disorder or GAD produced positive results by reducing the symptoms.

those are mostly placebo

meditation practice is good.

vigorous exercise is amazing. Five minutes of intuitive stretching and exercise (do what feels good) can be amazing too.

L-theanine works for a lot of people!

contrast water therapy (hot and cold showers, end on cold!)

cognitive therapy (read up on evolution and figure out what is triggering your anxiety and rewire your brain)

herb supplements are not a good solution, work to rework your body chemistry and adaption :)

had anxiety problems for YEARS, fixed self with above tips.

Never had any luck with Bach remedies, but I use Valerian Root capsules I buy at Wal-Mart, so they are cheap about $5.00. Play around with how many you should take. I started with one and then worked my way up from there. Depending on how anxious I am I take anywhere from 1-3. It makes my whole body relax but not fall asleep.
Good luck and have fun!

You can find a tea in just about any grocery store called "Calm" it works great to help "calm" people down and can also help them deal with stress.

There are herbs like L-theanine, Gaba, 5-htp, Rhodioal Rosea, Valerian, etc. or you can get pre-mixed combo supplements like Seridyn, Panicyl, or Kalms.

I use Panicyl and its effective for me. mine is a combo of general and social anxiety. Anything by Bach and Native Remedies is good too.

I vote for a mixture of Cinnamon and ginger, served hot, it would be better if you add milk.
