Getting high off of NyQuil?!
Question: Getting high off of NyQuil?
I have nothing better to do tonight and I'm going to be home alone all night.
So I plan on drinking it all.
The last time I did this is when I drank Robitussin and ecstasy together(turned out to be a bad night.)
Does NyQuil do the same as Robitussin? and I'm not taking anything else with it so I know it won't be like last time.
Whats it going to be like when I drink the whole thing? and I might not drink it all I don't know yet.
And please don't tell me I'm stupid for doing it and I shouldn't cause yes I do know that but I still am

Don't do that man. Nyquil ***** you up, and if you take too much then you'll get brain damage. If you want to trip on DXM then find a type of robotussin that has ONLY dxm as an active ingredient, and nothing else. You have to be 18 to buy it in some places though.
Nyquil doesn't get you high. It has different active ingredients from Robitussin. You will just go to sleep, be hung over in the morning, and possibly suffer liver damage.
You need to understand what you do before you do it or you will end up dead. For example, if you didn't read the label on the Robitussin, certain types have more than just the dextromethorphan that makes you 'trip' and those extra ingredients will harm you. Erowid is a great site for info.

The person above is correct. There are several formulations of NyQuil, and they all contain acetaminophen (Tylenol), which can cause severe liver damage in high doses. Children's NyQuil and NyQuil Cough are the only two formulations that do not contain acetaminophen, but they both contain a sedative/antihistamine. The whole point of NyQuil is to knock you out so your cold symptoms don't keep you awake and you can get some rest. Taking a whole bottle of any of the formulations that contain acetaminophen could cause severe, permanent, and potentially fatal liver damage. Taking an entire bottle of either of the two preparations without acetaminophen will just knock you out. The antihistamine is NyQuil Cough is relatively safe even at high doses (up to 50mg) but I'm not sure about the antihistamine in Children's NyQuil.
Best case scenario is that you'll just get really drowsy and pass out, and worse case scenario is you go into liver failure and die. Either way, you won't get high and it won't be fun, so just don't do it. The only cough/cold/flu medication that will get you high is dextromethorphan, but if you are going to do that, you need a medication that contains ONLY dextromethorphan as an active ingredient. All formulations of NyQuil contain other active ingredients, many of which are very dangerous in high doses.
