Last year I took my uncle's pills instead of mine..?!

Question: Last year I took my uncle's pills instead of mine..?
I needed to take my allergy meds like normal, but in the dark, I accidentally took my uncle's oxycodone instead. I was higher than a kite, and had to go home from school, but I am wondering if their are any long term affects from taking it?

Answers:

After a year you are fine. Do not let these people who failed english and grammar to tell you something else. Addictions happen when receptors are made that crave the substance. You are fine because you have not had a withdraw symptom so far.

You are fine.

oxycodone is an opiate. Much like heroin, only weaker. If you only took it once then there is generally no long term affects, however you might get slight withdrawel.

edit: Towards Ben. I have never once failed english, and my grammar is perfectly normal. Oxycodone and other opoids are notorious for causing physical and psychological withdrawels. Assuming he took a large quantity of oxycodone (an assumption made due to the fact that he became 'high' from it), it is very likely that he could have withdrawel symptoms. Even if it is unlikely.

Also, That isn't at all what happens when somebody develops an addiction to drugs.

You've been fine for a year, so I'm sure you'll be alright.

i don't know. you should ask the peofessional doctor
