Tramadol withdrawals first day! help?!
Question: Tramadol withdrawals first day! help?
Answers:
Mike F is right. 7 days of hellafied withdrawal and a few weeks of depression from tramadol. I have been on them for 3 years. I have a prescription for 400mg daily, but i take less and if I go a day without them I start to feel bad. I've done extensive research and you have to wean off over the course of several weeks before you can stop completely. If you have some left Google "how to wean off tramadol." If you ran out, go to the doc and tell them what your trying to do.
I know what you are going thru...i feel for you. my ultram withdrawals lasted for about 2 weeks, first week was horrible!! then the 2nd week was better. you will find yourself feeling extremely weird and very depressed as you go longer without the synthetic opiate. just thought Id clear that up. it's not a real opioid. you NEED to wean off tramadol, you can't stop this cold turkey. I wish you good luck!!
Call your pharmacist and find the best way to get off the drug. Some drugs shouldn't be stopped cold turkey but phased out. If this is one of them the pharmacist can tell you how to phase of, ie, what doses to take and how far apart until you are totally off it.
You should go see your doctor to get some advice on how to wean off of Tramadol safely.
Quitting an opioid drug cold turkey can be dangerous if not done correctly. The withdrawal side effects can be severe and last a week or more.
