Or fiber gummies. There's some that are rather delicious. I'm anemic so I have to take iron supplements as well and taking fiber gummies twice a day (morning and night) seems to work pretty well.



Get the new type of iron supplement from the health food store that doesn't cause constipation in the first place. If you suddenly start to supplement with fibre you can make the problem even worse. You have to go very slowly with fibre, eg. 5 g a day for 2 weeks before you even think of upping it.



Several hours before or after (but NOT with) take some fiber such as metamucil - or try a bowl of high fiber cereal such as Fiber One - - and be sure to drink plenty of water. For the record, I would suggest the cereal much more strongly - it contains much more fiber.]
