I would not consider going to the bathroom several times a day to pass a bowel movement successful. On the contrary, your friend could be in danger if that persists. She could suffer an electrolyte imbalance which could prove disastrous for health or worse fatal if left unchecked. So your friend should stop taking that.

A hot herbal drink first thing in the morning or just plain hot tea usually opens up the bowels. Some stewed prunes with some cereal in the morning after the hot drink can also be taken if you need further assistance. Thus no need for any fancy expensive aids such as those you mention which might cause more harm than good. Tell your friend to stop taking that and see her doctor asap if the many times a day bowel movements have persisted.

Don't waste any more money.
Plus once a day is all you need.....twice at the most.
