REOCCURRING YEAST AND URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS!! PLEASE HELP!!!?!

Question: REOCCURRING YEAST AND URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS!! PLEASE HELP!!!?
Okay so here's the deal. Basically I've had yeast infections that come back every single day. This has been going on for over two years now. I've researched this problem. I am aware that it is called chronic candiasis or chronic yeast syndrome. I'm aware that most general health doctors are not well enough informed on this illness and there for do not offer much help. So I've gone to a specialist and he's trying to help but so far, it's not working. I don't know what caused this. I don't eat sugar at all or anything unnatural anymore. I take billions of different probiotics and vitamins and what not. I work out. I try to get as much sleep as possible regularly. I just don't know how to fix this problem. Yesterday, I felt so good and today I did all the same things and now I have what seems to be the beginnings of a urinary tract infection and yeast infection all at once.

I'm uncomfortable everyday and I'm only eighteen years old. I NEED to get on with this already. I really can not stand it much longer. Please help me. Please! please! please! please! I'm absolutely desperate. I want to focus on my life goals and happiness and work and school and having a fun time. But instead my thoughts revolve around yeast! If you have had this problem or know about it, please tell me how to fix it. How did you fix it if you've had it? What were all of your symptoms? Please help me.

I hope you have gotten cultures to make sure it's definitely yeast and not bacterial infections you have been getting. Usually if it's not cured with over the counter remedies and it reoccurs it's time to get seen and culture sent to the lab cause overuse of antifungals can actually make you immune (it won't work) to the products. Some have thought they had yeast infections, treated it, and ended up treating the wrong thing so they kept using the stuff and it is no longer effective. If this is the case for you (considering you've had this over a year) you need to get a doc to give you something stronger. Have you tried something called ketoconozole? It's a prescription that can wipe out symptoms in a day when over the counter stuff doesn't work or isn't strong enough. Are you on any antibiotics? Even ones such as Tetracycline for acne? If so that could be the culprit for yeast infections. Keep in mind though that if it's not a yeast infection and it turns out to be bacterial you need a different treatment with antibiotics with a docs script.

I know this may sound odd but have you ever heard of treating it with Boric acid? Some women have successfully treated it with Boric Acid but do NOT take it by mouth. http://www.probiotics-lovethatbug.com/bo…

One last note...if you think you have a Urinary tract infection you must see a doc to get antibiotics cause they don't go away on their own. You can drink lots of fluids but you need to get it treated before it gets into the kidneys or causing scarring of the urethra, kidneys, etc.. which could land you in the hospital. If you do have a uti then chances are you also have a bacterial infection vaginally. Make sure you always wipe from front to back to prevent the bad bacteria from coming towards the front making you sick and always urinate after sex if you're sexually active. Good luck and feel better.

Cystex makes urinary relief tablets till you can get a docs prescription for antibiotics.

"Cystex? Urinary Pain Relief Tablets is not meant to replace the care of a doctor, since there is no OTC remedy for urinary tract infections (UTIs) or self treatment for urinary tract infections. Instead they require prescription medication to completely cure the infection. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you suspect a urinary tract infection (UTI) to discuss how to get rid of a UTI."

What kind of specialist are you seeing? What has he prescribed? What kind of probiotics/dose are you taking? Are you still taking antibiotics?
Have you tried taking cranberry extract capsules? Grapefruit seed extract?
Are you still eating fruit (contains fructose which is a sugar)? Bread, pasta, starch in any form? Are you having sex and has your partner been checked out?
Has anyone checked your urine and saliva pH levels?
There are lots of questions a natural health practitioner would ask you, and that's probably where you should be headed.

A few things. I don't know if ur sexually active but if so you MUST urinate after intercourse that is what I learned was a big cause of mine. If ur not some things that could be making them worse might be the combinations of all the vitamins you are taking, not drinking enough water, wearing tight dark colored clothing, drinking alcohol during ur UTI infections. U might trying drinking a lot of water and or cranberry juice...I mean a lot!! and don't fight the urge to go relieve yourself either you only make it worse when doing so. Don't wear tight clothing, and sleep w/o any panties on(i know that sounds weird) These are things that helped me out. UTI's are one of the MOST uncomfortable issues us girls have to go through....
Good luck...and Hope you get better soon :(

I am a little surprised that pro-biotics aren't helping! Maybe you are using a low-quality brand. Go to a health food, or natural supplement store, and ask for PB-8, or something comparable. Trust me on that. The ones I got at Walmart for less money did practically nothing.
Since you suffer from UTIs as well as yeast, I have a few ideas. Do you wear thong underwear? They will certainly cause these problems, as will tight underwear and tight jeans. Sitting around in damp bathing suits, work-out clothes or any damp clothing will cause this. Yeast thrive in warm, moist environments. Try absorbent panty-liners on a daily basis.
Do you have a steady boyfriend with whom you have sexual relations? That could be the problem. Men typically have no symptoms, but can be (unknowing) carriers for yeast infections. If you have infected your boyfriend, or if he initially brought this problem to you, he needs to be treated, also. It's easy, he just needs to take some antibiotics, and you need to abstain or use condoms until you are both free of the infection. Yes, it can be sexually transmitted, but isn't as taboo as some of the more well-known STDs.
Some other things you can do to seek relief: Try to wear dry, loose-fitting clothes as much as possible (such as yoga pants). Sleep without underwear, so air can circulate. If you wear thongs, throw them out, or at least save them just for special occasions. String bikini undies are just as cute, if not more so). In addition to pro-biotics, eat lots of yogurt with live active cultures, and drink cranberry juice. Not cranberry juice cocktail, which is more sugar than anything, but real cranberry juice. If you find the taste objectionable, you can use a juice blend, such as cranberry-blueberry, or something, just make sure it doesn't contain added sugars, corn syrup, etc. If you are sexually active, always get up and empty your bladder after intercourse, even if you don't feel the need. That flushes potentially harmful bacteria out of your urethra, before infection can set in. Lastly, always wipe front to back, and wash with a mild soap, rinse well, and dry thoroughly. Avoid tub bathing and bubble baths, shower instead.
I can imagine how miserable this is making you, and I hope my suggestions are of some help. Good luck!
