I havnt pooed in days...Serious question?!

Question: I havnt pooed in days...Serious question?
A few months back i would get rid of feaces every morning but recently I feel as though I have come to a standstill. I am lucky if i can get one going every 2/3 days! What can i do to poo more often? Coffee used to help before but even that has stopped working now! I am of 21 years of age. Female.

What are the alternatives to taking a laxative?
is this condition dangerous? What are the effects of not being able to poo?

Coffee actually shouldn't help. Drink plenty of water (coffee tends to dehydrate you), maybe take a fiber pill or a supplement like Colon Clenz which is cheap at walmart. Other wise, increase your intake of fiber foods, being sure to put a good amount of fruits in there.

Get metamucil. This will ensure you get enough fiber in your diet and should definitely cause you to return to your previous state of elimination. I use metamucil myself and I swear by it.

Before taking laxatives, try drinking prune juice or eating dried prunes to get your digestion working in a natural way. Are you drinking enough liquids? Coffee/caffeine is dehydrating so maybe you've been drinking too much.

well I don't poop everyday mabey 3 times a week so I think it's normal you might be a little constipated but it should go away.

Go to Walgreens and buy some of those prune tablets, you will be blowing up the toilet in no time

if you cant have abowl movement in more then 4 days, your at the risk of having a obstruction

It's okay you just dont have to poo. When u r ready u will

I will gladly plug you, and unplug you...hehe
