Right now. The only true drug that is indicated for GAD that is not addictive is buspar. It does work that well and it takes forever to work. Hence, doctors really do not like it. It does not work for Panic.
There are other meds off label that can help. Lyrica, Beta Blockers, etc.
Anti-depressants are still the way to go with anxiety.
