Try The Green Pharmacy by Jame A Duke, PhD. It's really good - goes by symptom & then gives you a good herb for each. Not a lot of photos but it does have drawings. the advice is very practical.
There's also A Modern Herbal by Mrs. M Grieve. It's a compilation of ancient & more modern remedies.Lots of very detailed drawings of the plants as well. You can check it out on Botanical.com
