You can't get rid of it. It just has to run it's course. Usually, it take 7-10 days for it to go away. In the meantime, get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and 100% juice (no sodas) and take over-the-counter cold/flu pills if you are really uncomfortable. But nothing will get rid of it faster.
