How can a person ever get over wishing they were something they weren't?!
Question: Since I was a child, I have always wished I was taller. I am always considered the "short" guy, and have even asked questions here in YA answers about it, only to confirm what I thought : most women, when being totally honest, just don't want to date a short guy. I know I can never be taller, but how can I ever get over wishing I was? People say "Well look at _______. He's short, and he has a beautiful girlfriend." Thing is, that person is never me. I am not asking out of self-pity - I am very grateful for all that I have and am. But I feel I will never be truly happy until I get over this. I have been going to counselors for over 4 years now. Do you have any suggestions?
