Have you ever witnessed an emotionally disturbed person in distress or been emot!
Question: OR been in emotional distress YOURSELF? I, myself, am emotionally disturbed & I know it's not a good feeling to have an anxiety attack & cry when I have a bad day.
My friend's sister (aged 17) abuses her 1-y/o baby, so she lost custody of her. Now she's been having breakdown after breakdown. I sort of feel bad for her because with all the hyperventilating, kicking, crying, sreaming, I hope, wish, & PRAY that she doesn't have an aneurism, a stroke, a heart attack, or die because of too much stress. You might think, "Why do you feel sorry for someone who beats their baby?"
I'm very sensitive & feel sorry for people very easily. Don't know why. My friend says her sister tosses her baby across the room like a Nerf ball (small toy football from back in the 80's). & she DOES, & thinks it's funny. The girl is ADHD & Bipolar. This morning, she tried to suffocate herself & they had to take her away to the Psych Ward.

You are a very empathetic person; that is why you feel sorry for the girl. This girl really does not deserve your sympathy though. She is mentally ill; that is why she abuses her baby and why she is having breakdowns now. I hope she gets the help she needs.
Report the person who is abusing their child to the authorities.
Get some help from a counselor.
People with bipolar and adhd do not have an excuse to abuse children or anyone else. I have had bi-polar for 20 years and had numerous visits in and out of psych wards but it does not give me the right to abuse anybody. Your friend has other issues - it is not her bi-polar causing her to behave this way. She needs to be reported and have her kids taken off her!
