So the professionals of the world take an oath, what happened to that oath after!

Question: For many professionals including nurses, doctors, lawyers, therapists, politicians, the whole lot, the oath is taken seriously. In my mind, there is NO EXCUSE for violating that oath but it happens daily by ALL professions.
Circumstances, policies, procedures, laws, corporate greed, ignorance, inability to put oneself into someone elses shoes are some of what conspire to cause professionals to forget the oath. No matter what anyone else does, I remain responsible for my own choices. I dont "blame" anyone for my troubles, whatever few I may have. Finally, to find what happens to the oaths after taken, look for Carmen SanDiego...she may have them ,...or maybe Waldo.

They pass it back and forth when it's convenient.

Assuming you are talking about doctors, there are many honorable doctors out there. Unfortunately, all too many are more concerned with billing and thus send you for unnecessary appointments and tests or worse, just rush you in and out without talking to you and really understanding your problem. Also, many are beholden to the drug companies who give them all kinds of really nice perks (I have a friend who is taken out to eat 3 nights per week by the drug companies and if he wanted to go out 7 nights a week, they would do it, and that's a small perk compared to some of the other stuff they do for him/give him), so as a result the overprescript medicine or prescribe the wrong medicines.

the oath as been diminished by the insurance companies, and profit.
