Is he trying to come between our friendship?!

Question: I love my best frined we are like sisters. She has a new boyfriend named Randy, and he does not like me. I don't know why either. Everytime I call my friend he is there and we can't talk. We will go to the mall and he gets mad that I went with her. Hello she asked me to go. We go to school together but I never see her. We have different classes. She tells me everything and only tells him a few things. I think he is just jealous. I have always been there for her and she has always been there for me. What do you think? She hangs out with him all the time.

He's very insecure and selfish. If he wasn't so wrapped up in his own needs he would respect, even encourage, that your best friend continues to spend time with you. Hang tight. Relationships such as this are generally short-lived and doomed.

He sounds very jealous. Maybe he wants the relation you have with her.

Yep he's jealous.

This is extremely common. And very hard to deal with on both sides. It's a little more complicated than just jealousy. He just really needs to learn to get along with you and /or at least accept you as her friend. Sometimes this takes time, and of course she may spend more time with him than you in the end. But don't think she isn't your friend anymore if that happens. Who knows, someday they may even get married, just remember, good friends can slip away for awhile, but if they were true friends, they will be back. Don't take this personally!

He sounds jealous. I cannot imagine that she would have a good relationship with a boyfriend who acts like this. It is very controlling. He must be very insecure.
