I need help i think i have derealization?!

Question: i get this weird feeling, as if i am not real and that everything around me is fake. It happens when i think about it or sometimes it just happens out of no where. The first time it happened was when i smoked marijuana and then ever since then i have been getting this weird feeling.I stopped smoking marijuana 2 months ago. But then i got a panic attack one night and i got this feeling reaaly really bad and it felt like it was not going to go away, ever since i had the panic attack i been having this problem non-stop EVERYDAY. I went to the doctor and he couldnt figure out what it was so he told me to go to a physciatrist, i am going to see the physciatrist next week. i feel like i am the only one who has this, i am really scared. it bothers me so much. i wish i could live a normal life and not have to deal with this. Is there any medicine for this or any way that i can make it go away??? ANY advice would be really helpful, thank you.

Pot can produce that sensation but it sounds like you have alot of anxiety and something has triggered your responses. Perhaps see a therapist for a while would be better than meds. Its likely there is something that you have been through that is triggering these thoughts and feelings. Has there been any stressful events lately? Panic attacks are not caused by pot rather by anxiety. I hope this helps.

It may be hard for you, but wait until you see your psychiatrist. HE/she will able to help you far more quickly and organise some calming medication if they think you need it until you can be specifically diagnosed and then treated accordingly.
