Sometimes when i talk i say the wrong word... help!?!

Question: basically, i will be telling a story or talking to someone, and my mind will wander i guess... like if i'm telling you about what my dog did yesterday, but i look around and see a picture of a flower nearby, i might say flower instead of the word i meant to say... like, i'll be saying, "my dog at ten sausages and then she ran flower..." instead of saying outside... it's really weird and i don't know how else i can describe it...

i also do the same thing when i am typing something... if i am doing a paper for school or something and i see or hear something in the background, i will type that word instead of what i really mean to say...

i don't understand why i do this and i really want to stop and be able to focus on what i am doing or saying! what is wrong with me!?!! help!

Don' t we all say the wrong things at some point. try looking at who ever is involved in the conversation. You aren't too interested in your own conversation, so you wander.

that happens to everyone no need to worry

It happens to me and i don't even realise it! Most people aren't that bothered when you make a mistake so you shouldn't worry yourself.

This happens with me too!!! and know what when i was typing ur answer, my pet dog came running towards me and half of ur answer was written about my dog!!!! but i editted it soon before anyone could read it. what happens with u is a normal aspect of humans.one wa yof improving ur all round concentration is meditation. sit in a quiet place early in the morning and take in and give out deep breaths. and with full concentration. be sure that nobody disturbs u.slowly ur concentration will improve and otherwise it doesn't matter.

It happens alot. Try to stay focused on the conversation and not looking at other things.
my problem is when i'm about to say something i have synonym in my head and i say the words at the same time. i think it's because i think way too much.

It happens to everyone. People make mistakes all the time in their speech, hardly anyone speaks flawlessly.

this what we say like "lack of concentration". itis simple, try to concentrate what are u r doing at that time, dont let ur brain to flow everywhere. and dont think much about any thing. try to sleep well. And visit this.

with love and blessings.

It happens often to people.
But if you think that this problem troubled you a lot, that it might be a sign for you to find a help from the pro. But don't be so worry too much. The more you worry, than the more your anxieties distract your concentration during the conversation or your activities.

You have a disorder known as Nounal Aphasia, it is relatively common but it maybe be due a psychiatric disorder. Talk with your doc about it.

Requires concentration...that is all.

It happens to everyone.

But if you are on any medication right now, it could be amplifying it.. I had to get off of Celexa because it was doing the same problem.
