STRESSED OUT!!!!!! Advice please!!?? PLEASE!!?!

Question: I have three tests tomorrow (Math, English, Science), a Latin quiz, 8 pages of French homework (120 questions), a project due in Latin, and a Science Project, plus an English Essay, and 50 Math Problems, and a History essay!

It is currently 10:00 PM and I am stressing out because I have only done half of that. I haven't even begun studying! I started crying a few minutes ago. And I am only in 8th grade, not even high school! Plus, there is stress because my dad is going to jail for a fraud crime he did not commit and my mom is never sober and I am in a massive fight with a few friends and another friend was just diagnosed with anorexia and I just heard another friend tried to commit suicide!

AND on top of all of that, everyone expects my life to be perfect because I am popular, have a really hot and nice boyfriend, I am upper class and go to an exclusive private school.

WELL NEWS FLASH: my life isn't perfect AT ALL!!

HELP PLEASE!? I am sooo stressed out and I am in tears right now.

First, take 15-20 minutes and do something you enjoy that isn't schoolwork that will help you relax and calm down. Then, do the homework first that you like the best so you can maybe enjoy it. Then, you work your way through the rest of it as you can. If you aren't able to finish it all, don't worry.

At any rate, you need to talk to an adult, maybe your school counselor, who can help you with what sounds like a very overwhelming situation. Talking to someone who isn't involved in your life can help give you perspective, and it is really nice just to be able to vent your feelings. The counselor may be able to get some help for your mom, too.

Join a convent.
It's the only way!!!

be 'sick' for school tommorow, get yourself recharged, then go to school on wed and make arrangements for makeup tests. good luck and dont do anything stupid like suicide over something like schoolwork. it does get better!

calm down now, its not the end of the world, relax, breath deep thru the belly button.
Get u some B vitamins or melt B12 under your tongue.
Forget everyones worries but your own, just pray for the rest.
think positive and dont let anything or anyone drag u down.
dont cry, just sing good songs in the brain and keep positive.

this is going to sound harsh, but there is no way u r finishing all that work today. cut school tomorrow, and tell ur mom that there is no way u can finish all that. hopfully she'll understand. u can always make up the test some other day. as far as friends go. i really don't now (sry, can't help u on that part). and just relax for a day or two. take ur time. beside, u r in 8th grade. i didn't even stress out as much as u did with the SAT's. don't worry you'll be fine. and good luck. and i'm sorry about ur dad. hopfully he'll be fine.

Concentrate on the one that is due first. If you have time before any of the essays or projects are due then put them aside and work on one thing at a time.
You have to ignore all of the external events, friends and family, these other things will happen but are things that you have no control over. Focus on yourself and what you need to do.
If you can get some freetime with your bf, some support and care will help keep things in perspective. Remember that not everything is bad, and everything else is short term. I can gaurantee in a little while you'll look back and realise how fleeting these moments of stress really are.

Well, the truth is hon, you have alot on your plate and nobody here is qualified to give you appropriate advice, unless someone pipes up who has a phd in child psychology. My advice would be to do the best you can for tonight, then go see your school counselor first thing tomorrow. They are trained to handle stressed out students and can offer other solutions to handle the issues in your personal life. I know things can be overwhelming at times, especially at your age but you need to know that things sometimes have a way of working out. Believe me, you're not the only person (young or old) who has these types of problems. I'm 53 and in a very stressful job and sometimes I get overwhelmed. Here's what I try to do....First, tackle one thing at a time. Don't try to do or think about everything at once. Secondly, try not to worry about the things that you have very little or no control of. I hope this helps and.....go see that counselor!

My advice is to let it be.

Everything may go wrong, but ultimately that doesn't matter. What matters is are you enjoying this life.

The only way that I know to enjoy this life, is not arguing with what is. And rather to love what is.
