For both bipolar disorder and the schiz's there are other medications. Talk to your psychiatrist about taking something else. Of the antipsychotics, Abilify and Geodon are supposed to be weight neutral.
Ask your doctor. People here may suggest the wrong ones and get you in trouble.
You will need to asl the person who prescribed your seroquel, or another psychiatrist. If you start taking something off the cuff, you could end up with serious problems. Besides, you may not even need a diet pill - there may be another method you can utilize to lose weight.
No diet pills. Ever! Most OTC diet pills are extremely dangerous and not very effective. Ask your doctor about seroquel's side effects and what you can do to minimize them.
Don't take anything from a drug store. A lot of those pills have bad side effects.
As your doctor about switching pills, there are other meds in the same classification as seroquel. I heard Abilify helped you lose weight. It's in the same class as seroquel, but it's expensive and your insurance may not cover it tough.
seroquel is gonna chunk you up quick if you don't watch it. i brought this up to my doctor because i gained weight and he prescribed geodon instead.
its better if you work otu and do it in a healthy way cause i got sick taking the pills the doctor told me to take...
