you seem very angry (and for a 20 yr old) immature. Maybe the group can help you with that. Even if you don't want to go to the group, you need help. You need therapy. Your anger will continue to focus on whoever crosses your path. Your mother, the person who misquotes , or anyone else who touches your life. If you don't like your mothers actions, move away from her. Take care of yourself and see how well you do. It is time to grow up ,and take responsibility for yourself. Ugh! I was forced to go to one of those when I was in high school. It's really just ridiculous. People sit down & talk about their problems, and it's like who cares?!? I dropped out after the first session.

Just go! It is ever so much easier than being upset and upsetting others about it.

Just because you had a little freaky episode is no reason to go to Group Therapy
If you are on meds for a good reason make sure you don't miss them After all-you are old enough to know your own body Talk to your Doctor he /or she knows what's best for you not your parents Be strong and take care of yourself
Your parents mean well but they cannot diagnose what you need

Consider it carefully, maybe go along to see, you cannot knock something you haven't tried. That is a child's way, pushing food away because it is the wrong colour. Lots of people benefit from group therapy, what makes you special?
If, after true consideration, you still don't want to go, just say no. (it really is that simple)

I know I won't get best answer for being blunt and honest with you, this format encourages sycophants.

Just go...accept the fact that you freaked out and acted in a way that is totally not normal for you. The very least this group thing can do is show you the problems that some people have to live with on a day to day basis. That's not a bad thing ..
the best thing that could happen is that you might gain some insight into who you are as a person. any kind of "education" should be looked upon with an open mind. Just go...go and see
go and see and think! Just go..?

Hmmm. So because you are 20yrs old...you mother stops caring for her daughter. You are very lucky you have such a caring mum!
Obviously we do not have all the facts here. But it would seem your mum was worried enough to see you get some help. Ok...so your old enough to make your own decisions. But what have you got to lose if you did make that step to get help.
There is nothing more i can add as you have already said that you don't want to go.
