Nobody can make you talk about something you're not comfortable talking about. It's your personal right to refrain from comment on your own life and it's none of their business. I'm sure they're just concerned about you and want to make sure you're not suicidal or something of similar context. Just tell them that it's nothing you care to talk about and it's being dealt with.

But you should be working through it with friends/family or a counselor elsewhere if it's really that bad that it's beyond normal depression or stress.

Yes. You should talk about it, even if you don't feel comfortable. You'll feel a lot better having it off your chest, whatever it is.

If you are referring to rape, molestation, pregnancy, drugs, or any other kind of abuse, suicidal thoughts, or anything else, they can help. Most schools are trained to help you out with whatever problems you are having.

Whatever it is, you are not alone. Chances are, there is someone else out there who has had a similar experience. 4 out of 5 girls will be raped or sexually molested in some way by the age of 25. 75% of teenagers will have had suicidal thoughts (serious or not).

Don't be afraid. Whatever happens, you should be able to find some help.
