What should I do about addiction and procrastination?!
Question: I am in the 9th grade and I have always loved video games, but I seem to be more addicted recently then I have been, putting off projects to the last weekend or worse, the night before, usually late, I usually get my homework done but it is horrible and the minimal. I really want to get back on track. Can anyone give me suggestions on ridding my addiction and becoming more focused in school? I have mainly A's and B's but one of my grades are almost a C! I don't want this to continue, please help me.
Sincerely,
Nagolias

I had the same problem in highschool. Games are like drugs to some people (literally messes with the dopamine levels in your brain). It's hard to cut down on video games if you're a gameaholic. Once you start playing it's hard to stop. Limit yourself, like a couple hours a day, maybe less. If you don't have much self control, put down the sticks and study with your girlfriend. Girls are funner then video games. They usually don't suck hours out of your life like video games do.
Get rid of the video game system.
