Effexor Withdrawals?!

Question: After being on Ellexor for 4 months, i've slowly decreased my dose and now for 4 days pills free.
So far staggering when i walk, dizzy spells and brain zaps and even zaps in one of my feet, cold and hot sweats and feeling sleepy, mind some of this stuff i had while taking the stupid pills.
Even at the gym, sweating more and when my gym instructors says turn left,I'm going right, rather confusing :))

Please how long does this last,i really don't want to be on these pills.

I can cope with most of this

Good luck with that, unfortunately it is the most common withdrawl effect - the brain zap's. My words exactly. I'd get off them if I were you. It's messing with chemicals in your brain and just isn't worth it. I've been on that and Zoloft and both were nasty to get off, and the side effects although mild were bringing me down. I've been off everything for 6 months and now take full doses of Omega3 when i feel the clouds coming overhead and the dumps kicking in, and it works wonders and it's good for me. Try it. A clean body and mind is the most powerful thing, I never felt this good on those pills. =) Let me know how you're doing. PS. the effects dont go away as long as your on the meds...

prolly last about 2 weeks

It will depend on the dosage and how long you were on effexor, I was on effexor for 4 months and it took about a week and a half for the zaps to stop, the dizziness did last 2 weeks. I also had half dosage pills in my sample cards so I could week myself off over a week. The nice thing about effexor is that it worked great, got rid of my depression quickly.

i take the same sh_t. i would say you need to go off of them slowly. take it very slow . you know what have someone trick you into thinking you have taken it. trustme it s helps when your trying to get off of them. that and how do you deal with feeling dizzy. im asking for me. i hate the dizzines

You need to call your doctor asap and describe your symptoms to him/her. You probably need to have your
dose adjusted. Just don't do this by yourself because
you weren't qualified and may end up doing yourself
more harm than good.
