How does a manic state feel? Does it feel good or bad?!

Question: Sometimes I feel like I have a lot of energy and am talking fast, laughing, and everyone thinks I'm happy, but I'm really extremely depressed. I am wondering if I have bipolar or something. What does a manic state feel like? When that happens are you depressed inside, or happy?

you can be both.... sometimes you do it to hide your depression and other times you're filled with so much energy you just cant help it.... manic is having both the highs and the lows very intensely
