What type of processing problem is this?!

Question: When I was young I had an MRI scan that noted that I have no activity in some parts of my temporal lobe, which emans I have an auditory processing problem. I take Adderall, and when I don't take it I honestly have no control in what I say, and I'll say things that hurt people's feelings.

I take NO pride in what I say, its purly impulsive with no intent to hurt others it just COMES out, like my mouth and brain are not attached. People think I think i'm better than everyone else but I don't think that, I've always had this issue, I was born this way yet people think I'm some kind of insecure b***ch when its some form of disability!

What would a condition like this be under?

Look at the ADHDs, ADHD, Inattentive and (C)APD (= Central Auditory Processing Disorder). Read Nerves In Collision by Walter C. Alvarez, M.D., the How To Cure Hyperactivity book (1981) about ADHD Inattentive by C. Thomas Wild with Anita Uhl Brothers, M.D., and A Remarkable Medicine Has Been Overlooked by Jack Dreyfus. Good luck.

sounds similar to Tourette's which is a neuropsychiatric disorder
hope that helps

You actually have a physiological condition over which you have minimal control. It's either a brain injury or a type of malformation. You don't mention how old you are, but your brain continues to mature into your early 20s. If you are still young, you can "teach" your brain certain patterns. Try to visualize a STOP sign or a hand in the "stop" position before you speak. Anything you can think of that will act as a speed bump to slow you down before you speak could help.

I'm not sure what the auditory processing problem has to do with the impulsivity, but Adderall is certainly good for the impulsivity. If you have a diagnosed auditory processing problem, a Speech & Language pathologist could be helpful. Most school districts have one on staff.
