For most college degrees, it is often required that you take classes that have nothing to to with your major. They want you to have a well-rounded education and learning experience. I know it doesn't make sense, however it never hurts to have more knowledge.

I have an AA in Liberal Arts, BA in Psychology, and a BA in Criminal Justice. I have had to take classes ranging from Astrology to Introduction to Theater. It would be nice to be able to take classes that only pertain to our Majors, however it just doesn't work that way unfortunately. Unless one attends Vocational or Trade School.

My advice is do your best and don't let the idea bother you so much. Its the way it is and you can't change it. Work towards your ultimate goal, there are always bumps along the way to achieving what we want. We don't have to let them steer us off track, we can accept them and keep going. That's how I was able to get through the BS to my goals and degrees.

Good luck!

Well, I major in anthropology and they told me I needed art appreciation and a PE class. They do it to make you a well-rounded individual, I think.

didnt you just ask this question?!
