as people have said, OCD.
I think it can be helped with cognetive therapy, and probably anti anxiety medication too. but the therapy would be more important. It's important to get help because it takes over people entire lives.

OCD- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. A psychiatrist can determine whether you would need therapy or a prescription.
Or, you could be a germaphobe (I don't think that is the "proper" language to use, but that's what it is).
Lots of people become that way after getting a life-threatening illness or a bad infection of some sort. They feel the need to be obsessively clean.
The way to fix it is to use common sense, and santitize when necessary, and make yourself quit over-doing it. It will take time, but that's what all of the doctors tell you, you do have control over yourself.

I'm fairly certain that you can go to therapy and whatnot, which can be helpful, but I don't think there's any recommended drugs,etc.
I believe its called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Absolutly there is a treatment for this i believe Zoloft helps this type of mental disorder. I suggest taking this person to a doctor or Psyciatrist since its a doctor specialized for the mind.
yup its ocd. obsessive compulsvie disorder. but at least its a good thing to be obessesd with
Obcessive Compulsive Disorder. It could also be paired with Aphenphosmphobia(the fear of being touched) and Mysophobia(the fear of being contaminated with germs or dirt), or just plain hypochodria to the point that she's afraid of touching others for fear of contracting diseases they don't even have.
She'd have to see a doctor to be correctly diagnosed though.

obsessive consolation disorder (o.c.d) there is medication for it but it effects everyone differently.
